streams. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 458 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain across east
Maui and the slopes of Haleakala. Rain was falling at a rate of
0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Although streams have fallen in the
past couple of hours and rainfall rates are not as high as they
were earlier today, radar trends indicate that additional bands
of heavy rainfall with higher rates are expected to move onshore
shortly. Additional rounds of heavy rainfall are expected
throughout the evening.
