The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southwestern Shannon County in south central Missouri…

* Until 300 AM CDT.

* At 930 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Winona, Birch Tree, Eminence, Summersville, Montier, Alley Spring,
West Eminence, Teresita and Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

This includes the following low water crossings…
Mahans Creek at County Road 501, Sycamore Creek at Highway H,
Thomas Hollow at Highway H, Rocky Creek at Highway H, Little Rocky
Creek at Highway H and Pine Hollow at Highway E.
